Evangeline’s care & wellness Foundation (ECWF) is a not-for-profit organization, whose vision is to improve the livelihood and well-being of children most in need and their carers.
The foundations purpose stems from the need to contribute to efforts geared towards development by addressing societal and economic challenges, reaching the most in need and vulnerable persons, by improving livelihood and well-being. Through the charity’s mission and goals, the foundation aims to support interventions targeted at improving the livelihood and well-being of the people.
Through the funding support and contributions, the foundation would provide needed care to children with special needs, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Giving these children a fair chance to attain desirable heights by creating an enabling environment for improved well-being.
The foundation was established in 2023 and became operational in June 2023. Roll out of intervention commenced with a pilot phase: June to December 2023.
The organization’s operations are currently within Port Harcourt, Rivers state and environs. Through its work, the foundation would connect global groups for effective collaborations including shared learnings.
To improve access to better living conditions, welfare, health, and psychosocial support, particularly for children with special needs and their carers. The foundation would fund and contribute to the provision of amenities whilst collaborating closely with institutions providing support and care to these children in order to ensure optimal services are delivered and equitable access to opportunities that would enable them lead a happier life.
